Part 5

Welcome to the final installment in this five-part audio series on ARTICLE MARKETING.

Now that you know what to do to market your articles, its now time to learn what you should avoid.

There are three common mistakes that writers make.

Mistake Number 1:

This is known as marketing resistance.

Some people hear the word marketing and begin to feel fear immediately. They believe that they cant market their work and that they will forever be unsuccessful because of it.

When people hear the word marketing they automatically think of a used car salesmen or people who claim that if you dont buy their product now that your family will starve.

This is not what I mean by marketing.

Article marketing is simply getting your expertise in front of as many eyes as you possibly can.

Another way of defining marketing is seeing it as letting other people know what you do and who you are. There are lots of ways to do that with class and integrity that can be congruent with who you are.

Mistake Number 2:

Believing there is only one way to let people know about what you do. People who make this mistake grow very, very attached to this way of thinking.

And thats understandable.

People get territorial about things theyve always believed, but there are honestly many ways to let people know what you do.

Mistake Number 3:

Inconsistency in marketing your articles or getting your expertise out there.

Many people, when it comes to marketing anything, do what I call: marketing a la carte. Marketing ala carte is waiting until things get bad, youre feeling desperate, and you just grab something from the marketing menu and do it.

You throw some money at it, and hope it will work.

So consistency in marketing, especially in article marketing, is to write regularly. If youre going to be serious about this and really use article marketing to build your business, commit to write and submit two articles per week.

Do this as often as you can.

Thank you for taking part in this five-part audio series on ARTICLE MARKETING. Good luck!
